Time to upset a Few Driving Instructors
'As a driving instructor it is my job to get pupils to pass their tests but in order to
maintain my income there are basically two ways to do this. The first way drag out the
amount of lessons a student needs.
The second way is the opposite to push students to their limit of topic absorption.
In essence, saturate them with as much detailed information as they can take. As a result,
they progress at a rate that surprises even themselves.
As you have probably figured out I run my business the second way. This means that we give
fewer lessons to students. The reason is simple. In order to establish Accelerated Tuition
as very serious competition to those driving instructors who are raking in money by giving
substandard service.

Does not pick up the pace of instruction when asked to do so
(It does depend a lot on the student but it is possible to increase the rate of delivery)
Some tell tale signs your driving instructor is just in it for the money:

Not giving you a full hour - 50 minutes
- Taking time off the lesson for collection and returning to house or work
(Within reason)
- No Discounts
- Charging extra for Saturdays
- Promoting Intensive Courses
- Not re-investing in a new or nearly new car
(It does not mean they are bad they are just not providing pupils with the best equipment)
- Their Driving School car does not have dual controls
- They charge you for missed lessons
- They charge you for not giving a days notice
Some tell tale signs your driving instructor is just not interested in you:
- They will not go to the trouble of collecting or copying your test sheets
(Sometimes we mite not collect them after a lesson if there is somebody else for a lesson straight after you but we DO collect them)
- They will not re arrange lessons for you
- They will not give you an extra few minutes even if you need it
Well I can assure you there will be some irritated driving instructors about when they read that.
The problem is, it is all true as I know from personal experience I went through a few driving instructors.
Thanks to them, I decided to make a career out of driving instruction. I saw the opportunity for honest no
