Regardless of whether you are applying for your first Learners Permit or you still have a provisional licence you must have:
- AT ALL TIMES be accompanied by a person who has held a FULL LICENCE for more than 2 years for the category
of vehicle you are driving.
- AT ALL TIMES be accompanied by a person who is insured to drive or take over from you in that vehicle at any
moment in time i.e. not impaired by alcohol or anything else
Apply for your provisional licence
The final step in getting your full driving licence is of course to take the practical test.
During the course of your lessons you will guided through the test procedure so you know what to expect on the day.

As and from 1st January 2009
Any person may not give Driving Lessons for reward unless they have a FULL Approved Driving Instructor Permit
be given by Instructors who have passed the Garda Vetting and 3 Stage test set by the RSA.
